The House That Stamps Built: Anything Goes

Everyone's favorite challenge this week at The House That Stamps Built: Anything Goes!

I needed one more Easter card so I went with a bridge fold card.  I had been wanting to use this cute little 705-G, Duckling, that I got last time Wendy had us pick out stamps, and I also had gotten: 1136-E, Easter and 1304-J, Beauty of Springtime, all three are under the Easter section at: Repeat Impressions.

We always enjoy your creations when you join our challenge, I hope you will join us! Take part in any of our challenges, the more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the monthly drawing for a gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission  using a  Repeat Impressions stamp will get you an extra chance in the drawing!

Showered with love

Today we are showering my soon to be daughter-in-law with lots of love
at her bridal shower.  Of course I had to buy new supplies to make a special card
for her, I used a stamp set: Pink Ink For Impression Obsession and papers by
Authentique. I think I will get a lot of use out of both.

Happy Birthday Wendy!

The owner of Repeat Impressions Wendy Wyman has a birthday today!   Wendy is the owner and designer of  Repeat Impressions  stamps and  The House That Stamps Built blog.  I feel so fortunate to be on her design team and create weekly with her beautiful stamps.

This is the card I sent her for her birthday and the team also sent a gift card for her favorite restaurant that her and her dear husband will be enjoying tonight.

Happy Birthday Wendy and many blessings to you in the coming year!

The House That Stamps Built: Inspiration Challenge

Time for a photo Inspiration Challenge  this week at The House That Stamps Built:

No automatic alt text available.
I went  with both the photo and the colors.  I liked the vivid colors and the photo made me think of spring flowers.  I took the 10201-W, Flower Power Background and after embossing it in gold took just a portion of it and water colored it in the colors of the inspiration photo.  I then fussy cut away the flowers I was not using and all the white space.  After layering I stamped
9717-C, Happy Hello and added it to my card.

So what are you waiting for?! Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations! All participants will be automatically entered into our random monthly drawing for a Repeat Impression's gift certificate. Each submission  using a Repeat Impressions stamp will get you an extra chance in the drawing! See my sidebar for a discount code.

The House That Stamps Built: Tic-Tac-Toe

No automatic alt text available.

Tic-Tac-Toe time at the House:

I went with the center row, Green-Dimension-and Sponging,
I thought this was a good week for a St. Patrick's theme.  I used the Repeat Impressions: 5135-D, Shamrock Sil. (sm) and 5119-I, Shamrock Sil. (lg)
I started with randomly stamping the small shamrock, dry embossing it, did a die cut with of it and green with Taylored Expressions frame in frame.  After sponging the white card stock it still needed more and I had no idea where I was going from there.  I ended up cutting the outside x3 for dimension.  Then I decided to make it into a shaker card,  and then stamped the large shamrock and cut it out on  my Scan N Cut.
Sometimes it is fun  to just start on a card and where it takes us!

We always enjoy when you join in the challenge.  You don't have to use a Repeat Impressions stamp but when you do you are entered in the drawing twice for a gift certificate for
Repeat Impressions, complete details and link up at The House That Stamps Built.

Reading time

I've had this Santoro rubber stamp in my NBUS pile for ages and finally inked her
up and colored her with Copics for a few fun challenges this weekend. Isn't she darling?
I also used a Hello from Taylored Expression's The Syky's the Limit, a butterfly
punch, a Taylored Expressions die cut for the frame and a Quick Kutz nesting oval die cut.

We have about 2 inches of snow on the ground here is Missouri, I hope it stops soon as
we are supposed to go to dinner with our son and his fiance, fingers crossed.

Repeat Impressions: Designer Choice Challenge

Designer Choice Challenge this week at The House That Stamps Built
and Esther has chosen: Just Jars. So pull out those
jar stamps and join in the fun.

Close up:

I had  a lot of fun with this one.  I used Plate 9700 Contain Yourself Series, one of my first purchases and favorite sets from Repeat Impressions, it has images and sayings for just about everything in it and is just a fun, cute set, you can also purchase all the stamps individually. The flowers are colored with Copics.  I stamped  the largest flower twice, colored and fussy cut and glued on for dimension. The jar is embossed on vellum, the gold specks came on the vellum. I did not put a saying on as this will be in my stash for when I need a card.

We always enjoy when you join in the challenge.  You don't have to use a Repeat Impressions stamp but when you do you are entered in the drawing twice for a gift certificate for Repeat Impressions, complete details and link up at The House That Stamps Built.

House of Cards

March 2018
Use Colored Pencils on Dark Card and/or Colors
Image result for design hues pencils

Time for another challenge at House of Cards.  This is a technique I don't do often,
coloring on dark cardstock:

I used a Cornish Heritage Farms image Poppies, stamping it in  white pigment ink
before and after coloring it with colored pencils on dark purple cardstock.  I used
a white pencil to add some highlights. I always enjoy a new technique.
I hope you will join in the fun, details at House of Cards.
